Seamless Streaming without Breaks

During streaming, channels can break when the input signal (UDP, HTTP) becomes temporarily unavailable due to unexpected server downtime or device restart. This causes streaming interruptions for end users and typically requires manual reconnection to resume video playback.

With IPVTL's Seamless Streaming capability, manual reconnection is no longer necessary. The video automatically switches to an EBU PAL color bar screen when the input signal is lost and switches back when the signal is recovered.

Color Bars on Signal Lost

Additionally, you can customize the EBU PAL color bar screen. In IPVTL Global Settings, you can configure it to play your own video file instead when signal is lost, such as a company logo or promotional content.

Alternate Video on Signal Lost

When the input signal is lost, a NO-SIGNAL alert is triggered in the IPVTL channel status as a warning of input stream issues.

Note: Seamless Streaming ONLY works when video transcoding is enabled. It WON'T take any effect if video encoding is set to Original.
